The Castle

Today I'll show you the progress of the castle. It is situated and built into a small butte. I'm thinking of naming it Whitecap since I'm topping it with white wool. The main keep is yet unfinished and will eventually loom over the current towers. The important parts however, are at the bottom. On the right we see a side view of what will be the main gate to the castle.

Here it is from the front:

Unfortunately, only a basic foyer is built in and it doesn't connect to the castle proper yet. But while this is a future project, a much humbler entrance lurks on the left. Let's go a bit closer.

Under the castle is another thing altogether. Next stop, Undercastle!

Welcome to My (Minecraft) World

Well, alright, it's not actually new. I've been working on it off and on for a while now. Here are the rules:

Game Mode: Survival (no cheating, everything must be mined and crafted) 

Difficulty: Peaceful (I'm here to mine and craft, not fight, though I might switch for adventuring)

Goal: Just have fun. Building and landscaping. The usual.

So here's a map:

As you can see nothing is really complete, probably because I jump from project to project. To the right (north on the map) are the livestock pens where I keep the sheep and cows. North East is the beginnings of an acropolis like complex and to the south a castle complex which includes a connection to the mine system and the nether portal. I'm contemplating a village sprawling between the castle and the acropolis, but nothing as started just yet. I'll give a formal tour next time!
